Tilikum Crossing
This new bridge is very distinctive in the United States, because it carries light rail trains, buses, cyclists, pedestrians and, in the future, streetcars. The bridge does not accommodate private vehicles, although the structure was designed to allow emergency responders to drive onto it if necessary. This 152 million dollar project, to build a 2,000’ long bridge, was completed in September 2015. SDI was contracted to supply the temporary stay cables and PT for this Portland icon.
