SDI Completes Offshore Project in Russia

Schwager Davis, Inc.’s value as a post-tensioning supplier and installer was proven internationally during the construction of the Sakhalin I & II oil and gas gravity base structures in Siberia, Russia.  SDI furnished, installed, and ran quality control operations for over 3,000 tons of post-tensioning material and equipment. Construction of this oil and gas Gravity Based structure took place in a dry-dock near Vladivostok. It was then towed 1,000 miles across the Sea of Japan to its final destination.  The installed multistrand tendons averaged 330 ft. in length.  SDI completed its work ahead of schedule with no accidents or broken strand. The project was a success and is currently in operation in the Sea of Japan.
